Pauline Joins the Party: Super Mario Party Jamboree Unveils New Characters and Features

Nintendo has announced an exciting addition to the roster of Super Mario Party Jamboree, officially introducing Pauline as a playable character. This beloved figure first appeared in 1981’s Donkey Kong, where she was portrayed as the character in need of rescue.

Not long ago, she broke new ground by assuming a pivotal position as the mayor of the exotic New Donk City in Super Mario Odyssey, earning her a place in the hearts of many fans. While she may not be as familiar to everyone, Pauline has become a staple in recent Mario spin-off titles.

Players were able to enjoy her presence in various games, including Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Mario Tennis Aces, Mario Golf: Super Rush, and Mario Strikers: Battle League. The announcement confirms that she will also be joining the Mario Party series in the forthcoming Super Mario Party Jamboree.

A brand-new trailer has been released, showcasing Pauline's gameplay and confirming her design, which closely resembles her look in Super Mario Odyssey, complete with her signature red dress. The trailer also provides a glimpse of some minigames that players can look forward to experiencing.

Alongside Pauline, another new character will be introduced in Super Mario Party Jamboree: Ninji. This character, reminiscent of a ninja, first appeared in the North American version of Super Mario Bros. 2, released for the Nintendo Entertainment System.

On October 17th, the Nintendo Switch is set for an exciting new game release, Super Mario Party Jamboree promises to delight fans of the franchise. Featuring over 110 minigames—the highest number in any Mario Party title to date—it is set to offer an expansive gaming experience. Additionally, players will enjoy exploring seven different boards, including remakes of fan-favorite locations like Western Land and Mario’s Rainbow Castle.
